WEEK 7 · 26 October-01 November 2026
From Individual Tasks to an Integrated Strategy
Professional practice reflective journal

Developing an integrated digital marketing approach to connect GetZero's campaigns, communications and partnership development objectives.
Work Activities
During my seventh week at GetZero, I focused on developing a more structured approach to the organisation's digital marketing activities.
Drawing on my previous experiences, I prepared proposals covering Green Careers Week, The King's Trust December celebration campaign and an integrated digital marketing strategy.
My recommendations included audience segmentation, coordinated content planning, LinkedIn engagement, email marketing and performance measurement.
I also explored how the Green Skills Coach could be promoted through targeted campaigns to increase awareness and encourage registrations.
Following discussions with my workplace mentor, I began considering how to align these activities with GetZero's upcoming programmes and partnership development priorities.
Personal Reflection
This week marked an important development in my professional confidence and strategic thinking.
I realised that individual marketing activities become more effective when connected through clear objectives, consistent messaging and measurable outcomes.
Developing these proposals encouraged me to apply concepts from my MSc Digital Marketing programme, particularly audience targeting, customer journeys and integrated campaign planning.
I also recognised the importance of adapting strategic recommendations to the resources and operational constraints of a small organisation.
Feedback from my mentor reinforced the value of taking initiative while remaining flexible and responsive to organisational priorities.
Moving forward, I aim to translate these proposals into practical campaigns, evaluate their performance and provide recommendations that support GetZero's long-term marketing and EV business development objectives.
